korean tuition
Happy!! Just got home from my first tuition class with my first Korean students! Thanks song saeng nim for introducing the job!! So happen that the kids are staying in Hougang which is very near my house~ In fact its only like a few bus stops away~ ^^ And so i went for my first Korean kids tuition~ was really wondering about their standard of English 'coz if their English is really not good... Means I needa use alot of Korean to explain!! LOL~ which is scary because my Korean sucks~ Well its proven my concern were unnecessary~ gosh i think the two of them are the best 2 students amongst all my tuition kids... The elder sister Jenny, whom i prefer to call her Hakyung, is good in her English. So is her younger brother, Paul, whom i also prefer calling Yung-In. Just that Yung-In needs alot of patience from me. He has the same problem as our dear SuSu. Cannot sit still. He kept playing with his pencil, kicking in his chair, killing ants~ -_- Me: "Hey, ppali ppali read. If not you will take longer to finish tuition." He: "Wae wae wae??" Me: "PPALI PPALI" He: SHIRO SHIRO SHIRO!! Me: "PPALI PPALI...... -_____-|||" -__________- Then i told him don't kill the ants. Me: Hajima. He: Wae wae wae??? Me: Ha-ji-ma -_-||| LOL~ But then again, he does listen. And his English is good. Just abit naughty. He is not handsome sort but quite cute. Hmm, Lin JunJie kind of cute~ haha But i like HaKyung!! She is cute. Well not uljjang cute. But cute. Very nice too! She ask me u like Korean language? I said yes, but my Korean lousy~ Then she laugh. She was telling me her dad is a teacher in Korea. She said I should go Korea in winter, because there is snow and I can eat the 'clean' snow. LOL~ so cute! Then she ask me if I know kimchi? I said yes~ and we talked abit about Korean food. Haha i told her, you can be my Korean teacher. And she laughed. OH and i gave her my handphone number in case she needs to reach me. And i told her, you can call me Unnie. Coz i like people to call me unnie. XD LOL~ Then she laugh and say yes~ ^_^ They are both considered quite obedient, esp Hakyung. Every time i explain something to her, she will look at me and nod and reply 'yes or ok'. So cute!! And oh you cant tell they are Korean by listening to their English. There's this slight Korean accent, but they spoke like Singaporeans. Just like how our Singaporean kids will talk. With the LA-LOR-LEH. -_- Considering they have only been here for 1.5 years. Its amazing how fast kids learn things. I'm so looking forward to tutoring them every lesson. Its cute to hear Hakyung and Yung-In converse in Korean. The way they speak to each other is so cute and interesting. And i can't wait to hear Hakyung call me Unnie. As well as Yung-In call me Nuna. Coz he called Hakyung 'Nuna!' and in my heart i was like omg~ can u call me nuna too!?? LOL~ crazy i know but aww~~ Then Hakyung was gettin ready to go church whilst i was teachin Yung-In. She wore a denim skirt with white tights lor. So young already know how to mix and match well. So i told her, "Ah yeppuhyo!!" She laughed shyly but happily. And they both said bye to me when i left. Helen, Kim teacher's friend, said "Annyong hi kaseyo!" when i left. ^__^ Ok set my next aim is to get Korean students, esp guys, above the age of 12. HAHA! i wanna be called NUNA and UNNIE!!! |
